- RESTORATION
- Most of the brick work has been has been completed. Some painting of the brick needs to be completed. This work cost $49,000.00. Some money was available from the Restoration Fund and the rest was taken from the Endowment Fund. Grants have been solicited. Donations to the Restoration Fund may be made by check payable to the First Baptist Church of Fairport (memo: Restoration Fund). Thank you to all that have already given.
One hundred bricks removed from the church have been marked and are on sale for $100.00. Anyone giving $100.00 or more will receive a reprint of the 1877 History of Monroe County. Original copies are scarce. The reprints are excellent. They were contributed to the church by Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Morrison of Ovid, NY. Wayne is a native of Airport and grew up in the church. We thank him for his generosity.
Additional projects are in the works. As soon as contracts are signed we will release a press announcement.
